Russian For Fish’s second project in Ashby Mews is the replacement of two ageing garage structures with a pair of live-work units. Each has been designed with a two-storey finned façade, with fixed-louvre timber shutters – non-traditional in aesthetic but sympathetic to the industrial heritage of the thoroughfare. Both contain a versatile interior space that can function as a study or a venue for small art exhibitions. The basements open onto sunken gardens, and each building is topped with a roof terrace, offering views across the South London cityscape.
The scheme is currently in planning.
